 The proclamation of the Word of God
during services of the church is a very important ministry.
The ability to convey the meaning of scriptural text by reading it
aloud is a gift from God and is proof indeed of personal spiritual
understanding.
The
Lectors' Guild of the
Church of the Advent is a group of people
who read Scripture lessons during
Sunday Masses, High Holy Days,
and other special services of the church. Special training sessions on
the techniques of liturgical reading are held annually, as well as
opportunities for fellowship and spiritual growth.
