The ushers
serve as ambassadors of goodwill to members and visitors
of the Church of the Advent. These volunteers cover Sunday
Masses and other special services. The central purpose
of the Ushers' Guild
is to ensure order in our worship, to facilitate the presentation of
oblations, and to collect the tithes and offerings. There are teams
of Ushers who serve in rotation. If you are
interested in serving as an usher, please call the church office.

Duties of the Ushers
Welcoming Visitors
Whenever the doors of the church are open, we are
visited by many people; some to attend Mass,
some who are merely curious. On Sundays and the
major holy days, the first person a visitor
meets is the usher who is distributing the
service bulletin.
